All aspects of preparing the series of books for publication, from pre-interview to composition, have been performed by the volunteer efforts of Veterans History Project committee members and other Friends of Cooper Memorial Library.
The volunteers came from different walks of life, state and countries. But they all have one in common, to honor and show their respect to those who served and serving our country.
Their mission is to make this project a reality. To make sure that the veteran's personal military experience and stories are preserved, so the next generation may know and remember the sacrifices they have made for our freedom.
Great care has been taken to assure accuracy and to avoid errors in transcribing information provided to the committee whether recorded (audio/video), typewritten or handwritten.
